At our Mothering Sunday service on 29th March 2009 we were joined by Mr John Bree from Samaritan’s Purse.
In front of the combined congregation we were able to tell him all about the events we’d put on in the Autumn to raise money and also raise awareness of the need for better access to clean water in Africa.
In true All Saints’ style we then presented him with a big cheque for £521.51!
John thanked us all for our efforts and told us how much had been done in the two years since the launch of the campaign, with around 140,000 people provided with water filters, latrines, boreholes etc. where before they had nothing but the worst kind of water and sanitation. Hurrah!!
